ABOUT Royal Hobart Hospital
Having existed on its current site for almost 200 years, the Royal Hobart Hospital is Australia’s second oldest hospital, Tasmania’s largest hospital and the major teaching and research hospital of the University of Tasmania. The four year redevelopment of the Royal Hobart Hospital is the largest health infrastructure project ever undertaken in Tasmania and aims to improve patient care by creating a new ten-storey inpatient facility offering a range of services, across 39,000 m2 of new space and 11,000 m2 of refurbished existing clinical space.
